John was born in Canada but ditched the cold and the noise for the wild pulse of Costa Rica. After carving out success with a needle, the itch to push boundaries didn’t fade — it mutated. More space. More time. More urge to pour it all out with a brush instead of ink.

Now surrounded by jungle heat and ocean breath, creation hits different. Every piece is soaked in sweat, sunlight, and whatever the hell paradise stirs up that day. The colors aren’t just loud — they scream. The movement doesn’t ask permission — it crashes through.

This isn’t art made to sit still. It’s born from gratitude, but raised to shake walls.

It starts like a punch in the brain — an image, a beast, a place that won’t leave you alone. Maybe it’s chaos. Maybe it’s sacred. Maybe it’s something you haven’t dared to say out loud yet

Works in Costa Rica, can be found at SOL Gallery in Guancaste

But once it’s in your head, it demands to be seen.
Not whispered. Not watered down. Seen. Loud. Bold. Unapologetic.

Color becomes the weapon. This isn’t decoration — it’s war paint. A signal flare. A middle finger. If the world’s gonna watch, you might as well give them something they can’t forget.

I try to build my life into an experience of doing only things that are enjoyable. Creating art is the primary source of this experience. This is my life.
